Cameron Angeli
Cameron Angeli

Born on September 20th, 1983 in Santa Monica, California, Cameron Angeli has always been a man of many talents – that is because he continually gets bored of those things he’s already mastered. However, his passion for music has always been seductive enough to keep his attention.
Cameron’s taste for music began to take significant form in the late 90’s when a new sensation swept the radio waves: Ska & Swing. He was appalled. After a feeling of betrayal overwhelmed his prior love for bands like Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Porno For Pyros, Cameron was forced to search for a new sound. It was clear that the traditional sounds made by emerging artists playing guitars, basses, drums and vocals were not going to engage his ears the way his previous favorites once did.
It was at that point Cameron discovered Metropolis – a KCRW show on weeknights hosted by Jason Bentley. The sudden exposure to a wide variety of electronic music – made by artists like Massive Attack, Morchiba, Portishead, Fatboy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, The Basement Jaxx and The Gorillaz – inexorably lead him to buy turntables and begin filling his record box with vinyl reflecting the eclectic CD collection he’d already amassed. As his record collection grew, one common theme began to emerge: Cameron did not play a genre – he played a style. His tracks are Funky, Fun, Intellectual, Engaging, Dirty, Vocal and Grooving – embracing his love for all types of music without ever crossing over into the world of cheesy, overdone crap.
Currently, while living in Hollywood, Cameron Angeli has a residency twice a month at Avalon’s famous Jerry Lewis VIP Lounge - a room which he and the Music Savages launched in early 2009. In additional to his residency, he performs in many clubs across Los Angeles including, Vanguard, King King, Opera, Spider Club, and Cinespace, as well as at various underground parties in Vancouver, The Bay Area, Downtown LA, Hollywood, Venice, Orange County and San Diego. He runs a website called www.musicsavages.com - a site which: showcases a small federation of Djs, hosts uniquely quirky and fun parties, and rates user submitted pictures of mustaches. Cameron also produces tracks with the ultimate goal of creating soundtracks and scoring films, movies and commercials.
If music tickles your fancy, so will Cameron.
